Yarra Valley Wine Tours

The first vines were planted in 1838 making Yarra Valley Victoria’s oldest wine region.

Located an easy one hour drive from the Melbourne CBD the Yarra Valley is perfectly situated for a relaxing day trip; with outstanding restaurants, cafes and world-class wines.

After a 50 year lull, winemaking activity relaunched in 1963 with the planting of vines at Wantirna Estate and was followed over the next decade with the emergence of other now iconic wineries such as Mount Mary, Yarra Yering, Warramate, Seville Estate, Chateau Yarrinya (now De Bortoli), Yarra Burn, Morgan Vineyards and the re-establishment of two of the valleys’ original founding wineries St Huberts and Yeringberg.

Since the mid 80s the Yarra Valley has experienced solid growth and is now recognised as one of the worlds premium cool climate wine regions. Varied microclimates across the region mean it can produce outstanding examples of Sparkling Wines, Riesling, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Shiraz (Syrah) and Cabernet Sauvignon.
